I am Pastor Tony Karns and it is my desire that after you have attended RLC Big Rapids, your life will never be the same. God is about making a difference in our lives and improving our future to be all that God intended it to be.

As an ex rock and roll musician with a short attention span, I have a passion for great music and I thrive on designing our services around many creative venues.

I live with my wife Laura (still my bride after 23 years) in Cedar Springs where we enjoy our daughters Ashley and Rachel, our horses, dogs, and 40 acres of the best hunting land God has ever created!





The Beginning

In 1996, Pastor Tony felt called into full time ministry and for the next seven years he served as the worship leader and executive pastor at RLC in Newaygo.

In November of 2003, he and his wife Laura accepted the call to senior pastor a small church of approximately 40 people in Big Rapids. With a love for people and a passion for the life changing Word of God, the church is now over 600 in attendance over three Sunday services.

Pastor Tony has a future vision of not only growing the church in Big Rapids but also helping struggling churches fulfill the vision and potential that God has for each of them. Together we will be, "Making a Difference and Changing Our Future."
